CSCI - Care Quality Commission

The CSCI inspect and report on care services and councils. CSCI are independent but set up by Government to improve social care and stamp out bad practice. The CSCI regulates, inspects and reviews all adult social care services in the public, private and voluntary sectors in England as well as giving a star ratings to councils and, from 2008, a quality rating to care services.

UKHCA - United Kingdom Homecare Association

UKHCA is the professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors. UKHCA helps organisations that provide social care, which may include nursing services, to people in their own homes, promoting high standards of care and providing representation with national and regional policy-makers and regulators. The Association represents over 1,600 members across the United Kingdom, in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
